준비물What you need

• Windows 10 또는 11 (64비트) PC
• 빈 공간 12 GB 이상 — 받을 파일과 설치할 자리를 합친 크기입니다. 설치가 끝나면 받은 파일은 지워도 됩니다.
• 인터넷 연결

클라이언트 받기Download the client

받기 단추를 누르면 구글 드라이브 폴더가 열립니다. 폴더의 두 파일을 하나씩 받아 같은 폴더에 두세요. 지금 최신판은 v1.10 입니다.

The download button opens a Google Drive folder. Download both files in it, one at a time, and keep them in the same folder. The latest version is v1.10.

• 폴더 전체를 한 번에 받지 말고 파일을 하나씩 받으세요. 폴더째 받으면 구글 드라이브가 여러 압축 파일로 나눠 버립니다.
• 데이터 파일은 커서 구글 드라이브가 "바이러스 검사를 할 수 없다"고 알립니다. 무시하고 다운로드를 누르면 됩니다.

• Download the files one by one, not the whole folder — Google Drive splits a folder download into several zip files.
• The data file is large, so Google Drive says it cannot scan it for viruses. Choose Download anyway.

설치Install

1. 설치 파일 실행Run the installer 받은 웨스트 클라이언트 설치 파일을 두 번 누릅니다. 데이터 파일은 같은 폴더에 있으면 저절로 찾습니다. Double-click the installer you downloaded (웨스트 클라이언트 설치). It finds the data file on its own when both sit in the same folder.
2. Windows 경고가 뜨면If Windows shows a warning 처음 실행할 때 Windows 가 '알 수 없는 게시자' 창을 띄울 수 있습니다. 이 사이트에서 받은 파일이 맞으면 추가 정보 → 실행을 누르세요. On first run Windows may say the publisher is unknown. If you got the file from this site, choose More info → Run anyway.
3. 설치할 곳 고르기Pick a folder 설치할 폴더를 고르면 나머지는 알아서 끝납니다. 따로 설치할 다른 프로그램은 없습니다. Choose where to install and the rest finishes by itself. Nothing else needs to be installed.
4. 바탕화면 아이콘Desktop shortcut 바탕화면에 웨스트 클라이언트 아이콘이 생깁니다. A 웨스트 클라이언트 (West client) shortcut appears on your desktop.

첫 접속과 계정First login and account

1. 접속기 켜기Open the launcher 바탕화면 아이콘을 누르면 접속기가 새 버전이 있는지 먼저 확인하고, 있으면 바뀐 파일만 받습니다. 끝나면 게임 시작을 누르세요. The launcher first checks for a new version and downloads only what changed. Then press Start.
2. 아이디와 비밀번호 넣기Enter an ID and password 쓰고 싶은 아이디와 비밀번호를 넣고 접속하면, 처음이면 그 자리에서 계정이 만들어집니다. 따로 가입할 필요가 없습니다. Enter the ID and password you want and log in. If the ID is new, your account is created right there — no separate sign-up.
3. 계정은 두 개까지Up to two accounts 한 인터넷 연결에서 새로 만들 수 있는 계정은 2개까지입니다. 비밀번호는 다른 곳에서 쓰지 않는 것으로 정하고 잘 기억해 두세요. One internet connection can create up to 2 accounts. Use a password you don't use anywhere else, and keep it safe.

캐릭터 만들기Create a character

클래스와 성별을 고르고, 보너스 능력치를 원하는 곳에 나눕니다(모든 클래스가 능력치 합계 75로 시작합니다). 어떤 클래스를 고를지 망설여지면 클래스 소개를 먼저 보세요.

Pick a class and gender, then spend your bonus points (every class starts with 75 points in total). Not sure which class? See the class guide first.

처음 나눈 능력치는 나중에 쉽게 바꿀 수 없습니다. 클래스 소개의 주 무기와 대표 기술을 보고 어느 능력치를 키울지 먼저 정해 두세요. 근접 클래스는 힘, 활은 민첩, 마법은 지능과 지혜가 중심입니다.

The stats you set at the start are hard to change later. Check the class's weapons and signature skills and decide which stats to raise first: STR for melee, DEX for bows, INT and WIS for magic.

말하는 섬에서 첫걸음First steps on Talking Island

새 캐릭터는 모두 말하는 섬 마을에서 시작합니다. 마을 안은 Safety zone 이라 다른 캐릭터와 싸움이 일어나지 않습니다. 지금 있는 구역(Safety zone · Normal zone · Combat zone)은 화면 아래에 늘 보입니다.

Every new character starts in the town on Talking Island. The town is a Safety zone, so no one can fight you there. The zone you are in (Safety zone · Normal zone · Combat zone) is always shown at the bottom of the screen.

1. 초보 지원 상자 열기Open the Beginner Support Box 가방에 초보 지원 상자가 하나 들어 있습니다. 두 번 눌러 열고 안에 든 물건부터 챙기세요. Your bag holds one Beginner Support Box. Double-click it and take what is inside first.
2. 순간이동 기억 목록 보기Check your teleport bookmarks 기억 목록에 기란·요정 숲·은기사 마을 같은 마을과 여러 사냥터가 처음부터 들어 있습니다. 순간이동 주문서를 쓰면 그곳으로 바로 갈 수 있습니다. Your bookmarks already list towns such as Giran, the Elven Forest and the Silver Knight Town, plus many hunting grounds. Use a Scroll of Teleportation to go straight there.
3. 장비 갖추기Gear up 마을 상점에서 무기와 갑옷, 체력 회복제, 귀환 주문서를 사 두세요. 상인 NPC 에게 말을 걸면 사고팔 수 있습니다. Buy a weapon, armor, Lesser Healing Potions and Scrolls of Escape in town. Talk to a merchant NPC to buy and sell.
4. 마을 밖으로Head out of town 준비가 되면 마을 밖 들판으로 나가 약한 몬스터부터 사냥하세요. 아래 첫 사냥 요령을 한 번 읽고 가면 좋습니다. When you are ready, step out into the fields and start with weak monsters. Read Your first hunt below before you go.

첫 사냥 요령Your first hunt

• 말하는 섬 들판부터. 섬의 몬스터는 대부분 약해서 첫 사냥에 알맞습니다. 이 서버는 경험치가 10배라 레벨이 금방 오릅니다.
• 물약과 귀환 주문서는 늘 몸에. HP 가 떨어지면 체력 회복제를 마시고, 위험하다 싶으면 귀환 주문서로 마을로 돌아가세요.
• 쉬면 빨리 찹니다. HP·MP 는 가만히 있을 때 가장 빨리 차고, 걷거나 싸우는 동안에는 천천히 찹니다. 레벨이 낮을 때는 차는 데 오래 걸리니 물약을 넉넉히 챙기세요.
• 가방은 절반까지. 가방 무게가 절반을 넘으면 HP·MP 가 저절로 차지 않습니다. 필요 없는 물건은 상점에 파세요.
• 10레벨까지는 마음 놓고. 10레벨까지는 죽어도 경험치를 잃지 않습니다. 11레벨부터는 죽을 때마다 다음 레벨까지 필요한 경험치의 10%를 잃고(45레벨부터는 조금씩 덜 잃습니다), 레벨이 내려갈 수도 있습니다.
• 밤을 조심. 게임 속 하루는 실제 4시간입니다. 밤에는 들판이 어두워지고 언데드 몬스터가 더 세게 칩니다. 양초나 랜턴이 있으면 둘레가 밝아집니다.
• 레벨이 오르면 새 사냥터로. 마을의 텔레포터에게 말을 걸어 '사냥터로 가고 싶다'를 고르면 내 레벨에 맞는 사냥터로 보내 줍니다(아데나가 듭니다). 말하는 섬 선착장에서는 본토의 글루딘으로 가는 배도 탈 수 있습니다.

• Start in the Talking Island fields. Most monsters on the island are weak — ideal for a first hunt. Experience is 10× here, so levels come quickly.
• Always carry potions and a Scroll of Escape. Drink a Lesser Healing Potion when your HP drops, and read a Scroll of Escape to get back to town when things look bad.
• Rest to recover faster. HP and MP refill fastest while you stand still, and slowly while you walk or fight. At low levels it takes a long time, so bring plenty of potions.
• Keep your bag under half full. Once your bag is over half its weight limit, HP and MP stop refilling on their own. Sell what you don't need.
• No worries up to level 10. Up to level 10 you lose no experience when you die. From level 11, each death costs 10% of the experience needed for the next level (a little less from level 45), and you can even lose a level.
• Mind the night. A game day lasts 4 real hours. At night the fields grow dark and undead monsters hit harder. A candle or lantern lights up the area around you.
• Move on as you level. Talk to a town teleporter and choose the hunting-ground option to be sent somewhere that fits your level (it costs adena). From the Talking Island docks you can also take the ship to Gludin on the mainland.

언어 바꾸기Language

게임 안 채팅 창에 입력하세요. NPC 대화, 아이템·마법 이름, 알림이 그 언어로 바뀝니다.

Type in the in-game chat box. NPC dialogue, item and spell names, and notices switch to that language.

웨스트 톡West Talk

게임 계정으로 웨스트 톡에 들어가면 PC와 휴대폰 브라우저에서 친구·혈맹과 대화할 수 있습니다. 게임 안의 전체·혈맹 채팅과 귓속말이 그대로 오갑니다.

Log in to West Talk with your game account to chat with friends and your clan from a PC or phone browser. In-game world chat, clan chat and whispers flow both ways.
